Pregnant Cheryl Cole Debuts Baby Bump, Steps Out With Boyfriend Liam Payne — See the Pics

 Baby on board! Cheryl Cole is pregnant. The English singer, 33, debuted her baby bump while out with boyfriend Liam Payne on Tuesday, November 29. Cole put her pregnant belly on display in a form-fitting olive dress as she headed to the St James Christmas Carol
Concert in London with the One Direction crooner, 23.




Their outing comes after the former Girls Aloud singer sparked pregnancy rumors when
she stepped out with a slight bump last month. Cole and Payne have yet to officially confirm the pregnancy. 

The pair began dating in February. The 1D singer met Cole while auditioning on the U.K.’s The X Factorwhen he was 14 and she was a judge on the show. He and his bandmates later performed before Cole again on the reality competition show when he was 16 in 2010, before going on to win and find global fame with One Direction.
This will be the first child for Cole. The Girls Aloud songstress was previously married to pro soccer player Ashley Cole and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, whom she recently divorced. This will also be the first child for Payne.
Their happy news follows Payne’s bandmate Louis Tomlinson’s baby news. Tomlinson welcomed a son with L.A.-based stylist Briana Jungwirth this past January.

Leah Remini Sheds A Light On Scientology Horror Stories In ‘Aftermath’
Leah Remini has been “making trouble” for the Church of Scientology since she left the controversial religion in 2013. The former “King of Queens” star outwardly slammed the church before releasing her memoir, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and  cientology, in November 2015, in which she dropped bombshell allegations against high-ranking officials and celebrity members alike.






After telling her own story, the actress still isn’t done speaking out. She’s back with an eight-part docuseries on A&E called “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath,” which gives a voice to those like her who want the world to know why they no longer call themselves
Scientologists. 
Not that the church wants anyone to hear those voices. The church’s opposition to the show is strongly felt via the multiple disclaimers that appear throughout the first episode, disputing many of the statements made by former members. The opposition is one thing, but the way the Church of Scientology expresses its fervent displeasure sets it apart from other religions.
A preview for the series features Remini reading a letter penned by church spokeswoman Karin Pouw that includes personal and petty jabs at Remini’s celebrity status and the state of her career. “A program about our religion, hosted by Miss. Remini is doomed to be a cheap reality show by a has-been actress now a decade removed from the peak of her career,” the letter reads. “Miss. Remini is a bitter ex-Scientologist she needs to move on with her life instead of pathetically exploiting her former religion, her former friends and other celebrities for money.”
The premiere episode, debuting Tuesday, recalls Remini’s own story of growing up in the church, explaining that the “promise of Scientology is that you will reach your full potential in all areas of your life ... Not only are you fixing yourself, but you’re also helping mankind.”
It’s an attractive promise, and for years Remini was an active member who publicly promoted the church, this is, until she attended Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding in 2006. By all accounts, including Remini’s, Cruise and Holmes’ nuptials were “a big deal” and heralded as “the wedding of the century” for the church. That’s why it struck her odd that Shelly Miscavige, the wife of church leader David Miscavige, wasn’t in attendance. She found it even stranger that she was told she shouldn’t be asking about Shelly’s whereabouts. That incident prompted Remini to start questioning the church and researching allegations of abuse from former members, before finally leaving in 2013. 
Remini expected that she’d be able to move on after she wrote her memoir, but said the response from others who had also left the church was overwhelming. Those who’ve seen Alex Gibney’s “Going Clear” or Louis Theroux’s “My Scientology Movie” will be more than familiar with the onslaught of allegations of physical and sexual abuse and fraud against the
church (all of which the organization denies). “Aftermath” invites viewers to hear more of those allegations from people the Church of Scientology now call “heretics.” What’s more, there’s no shortage of them. 
“We’re hearing the same story over and over again,” Remini says in a teaser for future episodes. Under normal circumstances, the same story over eight episodes would make for a tedious and boring show, but “Aftermath” is telling a horror story, and the repetition is powerful.

AT&T’s DirecTV Now launches November 30th with over 100 channels of streaming TV

After months of rumors, AT&T officially unveiled its DirecTV Now internet TV streaming service this afternoon at an event in New York City. The product, which starts at $35 per month, is meant to compete with traditional cable providers and a wave of web TV offerings including Dish’s Sling TV, Sony PlayStation Vue, and upcoming services from Hulu and YouTube. DirecTV Now launches Wednesday, November 30th, in the US on iPhone, Android, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, and PC/Mac. Roku compatibility will arrive in 2017. A free 7-day trial is available for new customers, and a whole year of DirecTV Now is included with the purchase of some 2016 LeEco televisions.



Like its over-the-top rivals , DirecTV Now will let customers stream live programming on smartphones, tablets, and PCs — no cable box necessary — and requires no long-term contracts or commitments. For a limited time, AT&T will offer the “Go Big” channel tier with 100 channels for $35 per month. (The normal $35 base package is limited to “60+ channels.”) If you sign up in time, the offer will remain valid each month until you cancel. 
But that $35 rate is not the long-term pricing for 100+ channels.
DirecTV Now offers step-up subscriptions that include other channels and content for a higher monthly cost. They break down like so:

    Right: $50 / month (80+ channels)
  • Go
    Big: $60 / month (100+ channels)
  • Gotta
    Have It: $70 / month (120+ channels)
AT&T has signed programming agreements with nearly all major networks with the exception of CBS and Showtime; negotiations with those companies remain ongoing. DirecTV Now allows customers to watch up to two streams simultaneously. Unfortunately, the first iteration of DirecTV now will not include any cloud DVR functionality a la PlayStation Vue — or even the option to pause what you’re currently watching. AT&T expects to add a “full DVR” component to Now sometime next year. “This is the first inning” was a line that executives focused on.
Live streaming from the major networks (ABC, Fox, NBC) is also a mixed bag: you’ll be able to watch live programming in major cities where the networks themselves own their local channels. But where affiliates are involved, most users will have access to day-after on demand replays of primetime shows. Verizon retains its exclusive mobile rights to NFL games on broadcast networks — so you can’t watch them on your smartphone, but can stream them on other devices.
HBO and Cinemax can be added to any of these packages for just $5 extra (each) per month. DirecTV Now is “zero rated” for the company’s wireless customers, so regardless of how much time they spend streaming, that activity will have no impact on data usage for their monthly bill. Importantly, while these are the subscription rates as of today, the company is being straightforward about the possibility of increases in the future. AT&T also plans to air original shows including a Taylor Swift series.
Though it shares similar branding, DirecTV Now is a standalone, separate service that’s completely different from the company’s satellite TV business. AT&T is treating it as the “appification” of TV.
John Stankey, CEO of AT&T’s Entertainment Group, described the potential as “bigger than U-Verse.” With this new over-the-top streaming effort, the company is targeting approximately 20 million households that are not currently part of the pay TV world. AT&T plans to use its significant distribution chain — retail stores, call centers, etc. — to help boost DirecTV Now against its competition. But at the outset, it sounds much closer to what Sling TV looked like at launch than anything else: barebones, live TV with no (very useful)
frills like DVR.

The 18-year-old Modern Family star was seen
kissing actor Levi Meaden in the rain on a Los Angeles street
after visiting the Los Angeles County Museum of Art museum Saturday.
Their date did not exactly go according to plan.
"We came to LACMA to see the Guillermo de Toro exhibit
and it was closed and now it's pouring rain and we're stuck in it and we parked
far," Winter said in a Snapchat video.
But the two took it in stride. They sought shelter, and
some yummy eats, at a casual restaurant. 
Earlier in the day, they were photographed walking and holding hands. The two have not commented about the
nature of their relationship, but Levi's rep confirmed Sunday evening that the
two are seeing each other. 
Winter and Meaden, a Canadian actor who appeared on the
series The 100, first sparked romance rumors earlier this month,
when they were spotted looking cozy together at the Hollywood Foreign
Press Association and InStyle's pre-2017 Golden Globe Awards
party at the Catch LA restaurant, E! News has learned.
Winter and Meaden had also vacationed with friends in
Cabo San Lucas two weeks ago and celebrated Thanksgiving together last
week.
Their mutual friend and Nickelodeon actor Jack Griffo shared
an Instagram story post showing the two at his "family dinner
Friendsgiving," writing, "That's my girl w/ her man."

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - All across the Midlands and the rest of America, people are coming together for Thanksgiving.

Many people have either driven out of town to attend a Thanksgiving gathering or are welcoming friends and family who took a trek to celebrate with them. AAA of the Carolinas predicted that 670,000 South Carolinians would travel 50 miles or more from home this year.





The origin of Thanksgiving goes back hundreds of years in North America. There have actually been several different types of "thanksgivings," celebrated at different times during the year, but the one we all know now pays homage to a feast between Pilgrims and Native Americans in 1621 that took place in what's now Massachusetts.


The first Thanksgiving was done to celebrate the harvest after a successful growing season. For the next 200 years, similar celebrations were held in first the colonies, and then the states, but there was no set time for this day to occur.


It wasn't until October of 1863, during the height of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a National Thanksgiving day to be held the final Thursday in November. In 1941, it became a federal holiday.


Here is Lincoln's proclamation:


"The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequalled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theater of military conflict; while that theater has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. President-elect Donald J. Trump on
Wednesday named Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina
as his choice to become ambassador to the United Nations, adding to
his prospective cabinet a former critic with whom he had sparred bitterly.
Ms. Haley’s name had previously been mentioned as a possible
contender to become Mr. Trump’s secretary of state, and she met with Trump
transition officials last week in New York.
Her selection was first reported by the The Post and Courier
newspaper in Charleston, S.C. The news of Ms. Haley’s selection came after days
of criticism of Mr. Trump’s early picks as a homogeneous bloc of older, white
men. If confirmed, Ms. Haley would step down as governor and be replaced by the
state’s lieutenant governor, Henry McMaster, who was an early and vocal
supporter of Mr. Trump.
Ms. Haley, 44, supported Senator Marco Rubio of Florida during
the Republican primaries, and she was a prominent and frequent critic of Mr.
Trump early in his run.
That criticism was thought to have kept her off Mr. Trump’s
list of vice-presidential candidates, although her name was mentioned in
passing before he chose Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana.
Ms.
Haley called out Mr. Trump in January when she gave the official
Republican rebuttal to President Obama’s State of the Union
address, and she later took him to task for his failure to condemn
groups like the Ku Klux Klan.
“Some people think that you have to be the loudest voice in
the room to make a difference,” Ms. Haley said in the State of the Union
rebuttal. “That is just not true. Often, the best thing we can do is turn down
the volume.”
In a follow-up interview on the “Today” show on NBC, Ms. Haley
— the daughter of immigrants from India — said, “Mr. Trump has definitely
contributed to what I think is just irresponsible talk.”
Mr. Trump responded
harshly to that address, calling her “weak” on immigration and noting
that she had asked him for campaign contributions.
“She’s very, very weak on illegal immigration,” Mr. Trump
said. “She’s very, very weak on illegal immigration. You can’t have that.”
The following month, she condemned Mr. Trump for not speaking
out against white supremacy more forcefully.
Ms. Haley drew on South Carolina’s experience last year with
the murder of nine African-Americans in a Charleston church, saying that was
exactly the kind of hate that Mr. Trump refused to repudiate.
“The K.K.K. came to South Carolina from out of state to
protest on our Statehouse grounds,” she said at a rally in Georgia. “I will not
stop until we fight a man that chooses not to disavow the K.K.K. That is not a
part of our party. That is not who we are.”
Supporters of Mr. Trump were angered that Ms. Haley called him
out, and many took to Twitter and mocked her Indian heritage, making fun of her
Indian given name. Some of that sentiment reappeared on social media once word
began circulating that Ms. Haley was likely to be chosen to be part of the
Trump administration.
Still, in a primary season interview with CNN, Ms. Haley urged
Mr. Trump not to take her comments personally, and said that she considered him
a friend.
“I have disagreements with other presidential candidates,” Ms. Haley said. “There’s
lots of things, but I will say tone matters, message matters and responsibility
matters.”
If nominated by Mr. Trump and confirmed by the Senate, Ms.
Haley, now in her second term as South Carolina governor, would succeed
Samantha Power, who has represented the United States at the United Nations
since 2013.

Less than 10 minutes into Survivor Series, and WWE has
already played the “team dysfunction” card. Nikki Bellawas attacked
backstage and there’s a good chance the assailant was somebody from her team
because a) like the other Survivor Series squads, they are being forced
together against their will and b) just about every woman on the SmackDown
roster is on that team.

The fans seemed to be really behind Alexa Bliss which
is odd because she is an upstart heel on SmackDown. At one point, I Googled
“Alexa Bliss Canadian.” Nope, she’s American. The question is does the Air
Canada Centre know that?
Naomi was counted out and, as I presumed during
last night’s NXT Takeover: Toronto broadcast, these fans were very
excited to say “10″ ten times. It was easily the most over elimination of this
match.
“Sharpshooter at Survivor Series!” said Mauro
Ranallo at one point. Subtlety has never been WWE’s strong suit.
Nia Jax looked like an absolute monster until
she inexplicably tapped out to a halfhearted Dis-arm-her from Becky Lynch.
Back to square one with her.
This was a sloppy, deflating match from the bad acting
backstage to multiple misses spots, to Sasha Banks’ early
exit, all of which received loud boos as fans eventually bailed. It feels like
the women’s division is in a funk right now and this was only highlighted with
all of them featured.
Did WWE Superstars get a stipend to purchase
color-appropriate gear?
Sami Zayn did a great job of selling his leg
against The Miz. He even limped as he went for a dive to the
outside, instead of getting a full head of steam, which is a crazy risk if you
think about it.

Video showed Tyga unexceptionally walking into the decorated kitchen fiesta in shock as Jenner is screaming Happy Birthday. In the clip, she is seen holding King by the counter as he adorably chants for his father.


Jenner has been documenting her and King’s hangouts a lot lately.

DIRECTORS PHIL LORD and Chris Miller. Alden Ehrenreich. Donald Glover. Until today, the identity of that small crew was all we knew about the upcoming Han Solo standalone movie. Now we can add the Mother of Dragons herself to that team: Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke has been cast as the film’s female lead.






It’s yet another coup for the movie, which takes place before Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope and follows the adventures a young Han Solo (Ehrenreich). First, it was big news that Lego Movie directors Lord and Miller were tackling yet another fan-beloved property. 
Next, Hail Caesar’s breakout star Ehrenreich landed the title role. Then, in what seemed like a trifecta, Glover came aboard to play Lando Calrissian. Clarke now joins that team. Her character doesn’t yet have a name, but she’ll be part of a “dynamic cast of characters that
Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures.”
If there’s a small downside to the casting, it’s that Lord and Miller had been testing other actresses throughout the fall, including Tessa Thompson, Kiersey Clemons, Zoë Kravitz, Naomi Scott, and fellow Game of Thrones cast member Jessica Henwick. Of those floated in Variety’s story on the casting, Clarke is the only white actress. But considering Clarke must be playing an all-new character, and she’s spent the better part of the last decade playing one of the most confident and powerful female characters on television, she’s a great pick. All that’s left is to make sure Clarke’s role lives up to her abilities.

The 25-year-old model and actress shared the series of revealing posts on Instagram while vacationing with friends in Cancun, Mexico.

Ratajkowski posted one picture of herself and a friend standing topless in the water. It received 262,000 likes.

She also shared a completely nude photo of herself that received 534,000 likes.

The "Blurred Lines" music video star previously went topless in a selfie with Kim Kardashian in
March. She and the 36-year-old reality star shared the picture after Kardashian faced backlash for her nude selfie.

Kate Upton has a point: Writers must do better with baseball awards voting
Kate Upton had a point. Her math is off, her facts are off, but she had a point.


Sorry, Kate, no writer should be fired for failing to vote for your fiance, JustinVerlander, for the American League Cy Young Award.




But, with all due respect to the Baseball Writers Association of America — of which I am a proud member — the omission of Verlander from the ballot by both Tampa Bay voters is indeed an indication that we can do a better job choosing the voters for our awards.


The sad part is, we are doing a better job; the BBWAA increased its voting pool by more than 30 members this year, adding MLB.com writers and a few more national writers as well. Our electorate includes voters from Fangraphs, Baseball America and Japanese web sites, as well as local newspapers and national websites like FOXSports.com.


The writers strive for transparency — every individual vote is revealed on BBWAA.com, and the site also includes a list of frequently asked questions about the process. The scrutiny, however, increases when a race is this close — Rick Porcello defeated Verlander, 137 points to 132. And when two voters make seemingly inexplicable choices, it’s certainly fair for fans, players and even players’ fiancées to ask what the heck is going on.


Verlander led the AL in so many categories — innings, strikeouts, WHIP, among others — it should have been almost impossible to exclude him from the top five (the ballots require voters to list 10 candidates for MVP, five for Cy Young, three for both Manager and Rookie).
If I had a vote, I probably would have gone Zach Britton, Verlander, Porcello, Corey Kluber, Chris Sale. I listed Porcello ahead of Verlander in a column posted on Sept. 30, in part ecause at the time he had the league’s lowest opponents’ OPS. In the end, Verlander finished second in that category, Porcello fourth.


Porcello’s biggest edge — ugh — turned out to be wins, a statistic that hinges on run support (Porcello had by far the league’s best) and bullpen performance. The BBWAA should be beyond that by now, but it was an odd vote. Verlander had more first-place votes than Porcello, 14 to 8, but Porcello had the edge in second-place votes, 18 to 2.
No, Kate, I can’t explain it, either.


Judging votes too harshly is a slippery slope: I vehemently oppose penalizing anyone for holding an unpopular or even mistaken opinion. At the same time, it is the obligation of every voter to develop a sound rationale for his or her choices. Different answers are acceptable; it’s the process that matters.


The Tampa Bay voters, Bill Chastain of MLB.com and Fred Goodall of the Associated Press, cannot be held solely responsible for Verlander’s second-place finish, despite what Upton said in her epic Twitter rant Wednesday night. Verlander would have needed
third-place votes or better from both to overcome Porcello – and seven other writers placed him fourth or fifth.


Chastain told the New York Daily News that he submitted his ballot with about a week left in the regular season; a curious choice, to say the least, when Verlander’s Tigers were
still fighting for a playoff berth. Goodall, one of several AP writers who vote for BBWAA awards, does not solely cover baseball; he reports on a variety of sports in the Tampa Bay area.


The Tampa Bay area is down to one daily, the Tampa Bay Times.

Atlanta, Phoenix and Milwaukee are among the other major-league cities in similar positions. Sports Illustrated’s Tom Verducci, who lives in New Jersey, voted in the Arizona chapter for NL Manager of the Year. ESPN’s Marly Rivera, who lives in New York, voted in the Milwaukee chapter in the same award. I moved from Baltimore to New York in 2009, but still vote out of the Baltimore-Washington chapter; that is where my vote is needed.


The annual scramble to fill spots defeats the BBWAA’s goal of geographic diversity, with two writers unique to each market voting for the awards. The Tampa Bay Times’ Marc Topkin, chairman of the Tampa Bay chapter, did not have many options when he distributed his ballots. Chastain and Goodall, longtime writers, did not seem to be inappropriate choices.


Ultimately, though, each writer needs to take responsibility; if you are not prepared to engage in or capable of the necessary analysis, then don’t accept the ballot. Chastain and Goodall did not make indefensible choices -- Chastain went Porcello-Britton-Kluber-Sale-Masahiro Tanaka; Goodall went Porcello-Kluber-J.A. Happ-Britton-Aaron Sanchez. But the complete exclusion of Verlander by both make little sense.


Votes are subjective, differences of opinion expected. But the BBWAA has a responsibility, too — a responsibility to make sure that we select the most qualified voters, the best of the best, to get the optimal result.
If we fail to do that, shame on us.

The return of Ronda Rousey to a major fight stage was short and not sweet.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion from Venice was summoned to Madison Square Garden on Friday night amid the electricity of the just-completed UFC 205 weigh-in to appear for a face-off with her Dec. 30 opponent at UFC 207, new champion Amanda
Nunes of Brazil.

So that’s what Rousey did: appear.

She strode onto stage without a crack of a smile or an acknowledgment to those cheering for her, raised her arms for the face-off, tried to wriggle free from the grip of UFC President Dana White, and after doing so, walked even faster than her entrance steps to the exit.

Nunes spoke of her excitement in getting “the fight I always wanted,” which will be at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Rousey, who has been reclusive since losing for the first time on Nov. 14, 2015 to Holly Holm by second-round knockout in Australia, said nothing.

A cross-country journey from her Glendale gym for that?

A day earlier, Nunes, who won the belt by first-round submission over Miesha Tate in July’s UFC 200 main event, said she anticipated delivering Rousey a second consecutive loss and expressed her disappointment with the post-Holm behavior.

“That is never going to happen with me,” Nunes said. “The way I sit down with you [reporters] now, that’s going to happen for a long time, because I’m going to be the champion for a long time. When we were at the beginning of our career, we needed you [reporters].

“I got the belt, I’m going to stay the same. I don’t want to be Ronda Rousey. She doesn’t want to talk to nobody. This doesn’t make any sense. You want to be … like that? I want to be the best and be normal. I want to stop and sign pictures. This is the way a champion has to be.

“You are human, you are normal.”

Nunes (13-4) said her own previous losses strengthened her, revealing weaknesses she’s sought to address. Since losing to former title challenger Cat Zingano on Sept. 27, 2014 Nunes is 4-0.

“Life is like that … you sometimes have to go back to nothing and work your way back, and I think people like to see that,” Nunes said. “Kids look up to [Rousey]. She looks weak as a person now. She’s not saying anything.

It’s like she’s forgotten about everybody. She doesn’t know how to take it.”

Nunes takes her belt almost everywhere she goes, and is intent to keep it through her first title defense after Holm turned it over to Tate in March, and Tate surrendered it to Nunes.

“The first couple days [after beating Tate], I walked my dog with the belt, took it fishing on my boat, traveled to Brazil with it,” Nunes said. “I like to see it every day. It’s amazing.

“Beating Rousey will make everything perfect for me and bring me all the respect.”

Tate, who has lost to Rousey twice, was upended in July by Nunes’ punches to the face that set up the finish by rear naked chokehold.

In assessing Nunes-Rousey, Tate said Nunes’ ability to “hit like a Mack truck,” and the “X-factor” of where Rousey’s head is at are the decisive aspects of the bout.

Rousey recently said on the “Ellen” show that she doesn’t expect to fight much longer, a statement that was interpreted by most fight observers as an exit strategy.

“It’s going to be a battle. Ronda Rousey is still Ronda Rousey. She’s going to be a hard opponent,” Nunes said. “But I don’t think she can [win]. I have more to show than her.”

One of those strengths Nunes boasts is armbar defense. She has a black belt in judo and believes her overall skill and conditioning will decide the outcome in her favor.

“I’m good on the ground. I know judo throws. Armbar defense. My striking is getting better and better,” Nunes said. “I’m not only good at one thing. She’s going to have a hard time.”

It’s those martial arts principles that most bother Nunes about Rousey.

“When you learn, judo [and] jiu-jitsu, you’re [supposed to be] humble in losing, focused on getting better,” Nunes said. “I don’t know why she’s so down.”

Nunes has brought happiness to the sport, particularly in her standing as the first openly gay champion in combat sports and her affection for her partner, fellow UFC fighter Nina Ansaroff.

“She helps me not only in training … we go to the gym, discuss the fight, watch it, she cooks for me, pays my bills … she’s my nutritionist,” Nunes said. “She might fight at [the strawweight limit of] 115 [pounds], but she’s tough … this helps me go to the next level.”

Defender Geoff Cameron, midfielder Kyle Beckerman and forward Chris Wondolowski will miss the United States' World Cup qualifiers against Mexico and Costa Rica because of injuries, and Tim Howard has regained the No. 1 goalkeeper's job.



Howard, now 37, took a year off from the national team following the World Cup, then late in 2015 and alternated with Brad Guzan.



Guzan started at this year's Copa America and while Howard has been a regular since leaving Everton to join Major League Soccer's Colorado team this summer, the 32-year-old Guzan has not appeared with Middlesbrough in England's Premier League since Aug. 28.



"He thought he would be No. 1 there. He is not," Klinsmann said during Facebook Live interview, adding that Howard "is back to No. 1."



Cameron was paired with John Brooks in central defense during this year's Copa America but has missed Stoke's last two Premier League games after hyperextending a knee against Hull on Oct. 22.

"It's just not healing in time. It's a bummer," said Klinsmann, who was considering moving Cameron into a defensive midfield role.



Omar Gonzalez, Matt Besler, Steve Birnbaum and Michael Orozco are the candidates to replace Cameron at central defender.



Beckerman and Wondolowski play for Major League Soccer teams whose seasons are over, and the nature of their injuries was not clear. Klinsmann went to Colorado on Sunday to personally watch Jermaine Jones and selected the 35-year-old Rapids midfielder, who was sidelined from July 4 until Oct. 23 because of a knee injury.



"Other teams simply fear him," Klinsmann said.



Twenty-six players will be at a training camp ahead of Friday's game against Mexico in Columbus, Ohio, the Americans' opener in the 10-match final round of qualifying in the North and Central American and Caribbean region. Among them is 18-year-old defender Cameron-Carter Vickers, who could make his U.S. debut. He played his first game for Tottenham in the League Cup on Sept. 21.

The U.S. has beaten Mexico 2-0 in four consecutive home qualifiers, all in Columbus, where the Americans are 8-0-3. After playing El Tri, the U.S. is at Costa Rica on Nov. 15.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Local restaurants across the
Wabash Valley are honoring those who served.
On Friday, Veterans could enjoy a hearty meal at Texas
Roadhouse. The Terre Haute location offered a free Veterans Day lunch to show
their gratitude for those who have sacrificed.
They have welcomed thousands of guests in year’s past and
the manager tells us it’s the least they can do to express their thanks.
“It’s the most amazing day of the year, and we need to
take some time to thank those people that helped us and serve them a free
lunch,” explained Cindy Perkins, Texas Roadhouse Managing Partner.
Several volunteers were also on hand this afternoon. They
were there to help the veterans feel welcome.

How Manny Pacquiao beat Jessie Vargas round by round

LAS VEGAS — Manny Pacquiao, now a senator in the Philippines, made a triumphant return to boxing Saturday, easily outclassing WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas in a 12-round title bout at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV.

Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs) won by scores of 114-113 and 118-109 twice, retaking a belt he used to own.







The 27-year old Vargas (27-2, 10 KOs), a decade younger than
his opponent, won the vacant WBO title in April when he knocked out Sadam Ali
in Washington.


With Floyd Mayweather sitting at Ringside, Pacquiao put on the
type of show he was unable to put on against Mayweather in 2015. A raucous pro
Pacquiao crowd of 16,132 at The Thomas and Mack Center chanted "Man-ny, Man-ny" almost
every round.


Here is how the rounds unfolded:

FIRST ROUND
Boxers are in the center of the ring. Crowd chanting for
Manny. Feinting but few punches thrown. Vargas jabbing with that stiff jab.
Swings and misses by both fighters. Right by Vargas then more jabbing. Manny
ties up Vargas. There was more action in the last 10 seconds than most of the
rest of the round. Vargas more active and I give him the round.


SECOND ROUND
Manny using his great footwork, but Vargas presses the action.
Both fighters cautious. Manny misses with a left. So much for early action.
Vargas misses with a right, and Manny counters with a left. Straight left hand
by Pacquiao drops Vargas. A 10-8 round for Pacquiao. Wow, a lightning
quick punch right on the button.


THIRD ROUND
Vargas presses the action but Manny returns a flurry. The
action is staying in the center of the ring for the most part. Manny attacks
again, and he feels as if he has this under control. Crowd chanting
Man-ny! Man-ny! Vargas not getting much of Manny. Wild swing and his glove
touches the canvas. They tie each other up as the bell ring. Another round for
Manny. Manny up 2-1.


FOURTH ROUND
Vargas struggling to touch Pacquiao, whose quickness seems to
be back, if it ever left. Left by Manny connects, and Vargas misses with a
right, then holds Pac’s neck. Vargas tags Manny on the chin with a stiff jab.
He needs to use the jab more. Manny's left returns a right by Vargas.
Another tie-up. Short left by Manny followed by a right by Vargas as the bell
ends round 4. Very close round but have to give it to Vargas. Tied 2-2.


FIFTH ROUND
Several swings and misses. Hard left by Pac connects to
Vargas' midsection. Vargas’ right eye might be starting to close. Vargas goes
back to the jab. Vargas comes in with a right hand then they clinch in the
corner. Vargas misses with a right, and Manny returns a left that connects.
Vargas ends the round with three or four lunges and misses. Good Pacquiao
round. 3-2 Pacquiao with a 10-8 round.


SIXTH ROUND
More caution to start the round, as Vargas uses the jab to
keep Pac away. Left by Pac misses and Vargas ties him up. Hard right by Vargas.
Vicious exchange right in front of us that Vargas might have gotten the
better of. Pacquiao lunges with a left that barely misses as the bell rings.
Good round for Vargas there. 3-3.


SEVENTH ROUND
Pacquiao using the right hand early in the seventh, which
might have won him the round. Vargas seemed unable to counter. Vargas comes
forward and throws a hard right that glances off. Pac is  jabbing to keep
Vargas away. Wild Vargas right goes over Pac’s head. I give the round to
Pacquiao and the lead 4-3.


EIGHTH ROUND
Manny throws some wicked combinations that all connect as
Vargas is cut, and Manny smells the blood. Vargas bleeding heavily over his
right eye. Straight right by Manny connects and snaps Vargas’ head back. Pac
dominates the round. Pacquiao easily wins the round. Leads 5-3.


NINTH ROUND
Pac throwing hard lefts early as Vargas looks tired. Pac is
relentless, comes in with a straight left, followed by another left. Vargas
right hand misses as Pac ducks. Pac blocks a right hand shot. Pac’s superior
footwork paying off, as Vargas grabs a lot of air with his last two rights.
Another good round for Pacquiao and a 6-3 lead.


TENTH ROUND
Hard lefts by Pac connect as Vargas has no answers. The
senator looks in great shape. Left and right, then another left by Manny has
Vargas gasping for air. Vargas finally connects with a right hand but too
little, too late, Pac stalks Vargas against the ropes, and looks mighty
confident with two rounds to go. Pacquiao wins the round, leads 7-3.


ELEVENTH ROUND
Pac charges and throws two hard lefts. Vargas comes back and
connects with a right to the forehead of Pacquiao. Vargas hanging tough, but
probably needs a knockout to win this. Pacquiao making it look
easy.  Hard right by Vargas glances off Pacquiao, then Pacquiao comes
back with a right that knocks Vargas down, his glove touches the canvas, but
referee Kenny Bayless. rules it a slip. He’s a great ref, but wrong there.
Pacquiao's round; we go to the 12th.


TWELFTH ROUND
Manny nails Vargas with a left on the chin; Vargas is
game, but about to lose his belt. Combination by Vargas lands, but Manny being
cautious. Does not want to get hit with a big punch. Vargas is trying though.
Swings and misses by Vargas, and Manny counters with a left. Vargas touches the
canvas and Bayless rules it a slip again. It’s over. Should be an easy Pacquiao
victory. He outclassed Vargas all night.
